DESCRIPTION:We are very excited about this year’s event which in add
 ition to the MARATHON and HALF-MARATHON also includes a MARATHON RELAY
 , a 5K Run/Walk, and the KIDS MARATHON. We are a mid-size race by desi
 gn and we take pride in putting on a 1st CLASS event, making sure to p
 rovide the personal touch for the participants, all at a very reasonab
 le price. Last year we had 6,400 entrants for the event and we are cap
 ping the event at 6,500 participants for 2010.\n\nThe MISSION of the I
 ndianapolis Marathon and Half Marathon is to serve runners, walkers, a
 nd our community through a fun, safe, and scenic event that is a good 
 value to participants and a positive event for our community. We striv
 e hard to please the participants by offering a well organized and fri
 endly event.\n\nWe look forward to your participation on Saturday, Oct
